By accessing or using this website, registering for a training, or purchasing any products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website.

This website provides information about our trainings, workshops, intensives, consultations, and educational offerings related to psychodrama, experiential learning, and action-based training methods.  In addition, this website offers education through our blog posts, and podcast.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Participants are responsible for exercising their own professional judgment when applying any techniques or methods discussed, and to utilize those techniques or methods within their scope of practice commensurate with their training and experience.

Participants are responsible for verifying if the continuing education credits available through Action Institute are accepted by their local credentialing or licensing Board.

3. Training Registration and Participation

By registering for a training, workshop, intensive, or event, you agree to comply with all program guidelines and participation requirements.

Certain trainings may require:

  • specific professional qualifications
  • participation agreements
  • adherence to group guidelines
  • confidentiality commitments regarding group participation

We reserve the right to decline or cancel registrations when participation may not be appropriate for the program.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors and fellow participants. We reserve the right to remove participants from a training if their behavior disrupts the learning environment, or violates program policies.

4. Payment and Pricing

All prices listed on the website are subject to change without notice.

Payment is required at the time of registration unless otherwise stated.  Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

By submitting payment information, you authorize Action Institute, or its payment processor, to charge the applicable fees for the selected training, service, or product.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on the training, workshop, intensive, consultation group, or event.

Specific cancellation terms will generally be provided on the registration page for each event.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Registrations may be transferable with prior approval
  • Refunds may be subject to administrative and payment processing fees
  • Missed sessions may not be eligible for refunds

If Action Institute must cancel or reschedule a training, participants may be offered a credit toward a future training, rescheduling options, or a refund, at our discretion.

6. Event Changes and Force Majeure

Action Institute reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel trainings, workshops, intensives, consultation groups, or events if circumstances arise that make it impractical or impossible to proceed as planned.

These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • severe weather
  • natural disasters
  • instructor illness or unavailability
  • facility closures
  • public health emergencies
  • travel disruptions
  • technical or platform failures

If a training, workshop, intensive, or consultation group must be canceled or rescheduled due to such circumstances, participants may be offered:

  • a rescheduled session
  • a credit toward a future training
  • or a refund

Action Institute is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, lodging, or other personal expenses.

7. Future Online Courses and Digital Products

Action Institute may offer online courses, digital learning materials, or membership-based educational programs in the future.

When such offerings become available, additional terms may apply, including but not limited to:

  • course access limitations
  • licensing restrictions
  • refund eligibility
  • completion requirements
  • continuing education credits

Digital course materials are licensed for individual use only. Sharing login credentials, distributing course materials, or reproducing course content without permission is prohibited.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to:

  • training materials
  • written content
  • course materials
  • graphics and images
  • videos and audio recordings
  • branding, logos, and design

is the intellectual property of Action Institute or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

Materials provided through trainings, courses, blogs and/or podcasts are for personal educational use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or republished without prior written permission.

9. Confidentiality in Trainings

Many Action Institute programs involve experiential and group-based learning activities.

Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and maintain the confidentiality of personal information shared during trainings, workshops, consultation groups, or group exercises.

While Action Institute emphasizes the importance of confidentiality, we cannot guarantee that all participants will maintain confidentiality.

10. Photography, Video, and Recording

Action Institute trainings and events may occasionally be photographed or recorded for educational, archival, or promotional purposes, which will be noted in the description of the trainings and/or groups where recording will occur, so that participants will have this information in advance.

By attending a training or event, you acknowledge that photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings may occur.

Unless you notify us in writing prior to the event, you grant Action Institute permission to use such materials in connection with:

  • educational resources
  • promotional materials
  • website content
  • marketing communications

Action Institute will make reasonable efforts to avoid recording sensitive personal information shared during experiential exercises.

Participants who prefer not to appear in photographs or recordings should notify us in advance.  

11. Assumption of Risk

Participation in trainings, workshops, intensives, consultation groups, or educational programs involves voluntary engagement in group learning activities.

By registering for a program, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary, and that you are responsible for monitoring your own physical, emotional, and psychological well-being during the training.

You may choose the level of participation that feels appropriate for you.

12. Experiential Training Disclaimer

Many Action Institute trainings use experiential learning methods, including psychodrama, role play, group exercises, and other action-based techniques.

These methods may involve:

  • personal reflection
  • emotional exploration
  • discussion of personal or professional experiences
  • interaction with other participants in structured learning activities

Participation in these exercises may evoke emotional responses.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • participation is voluntary
  • you may limit your involvement in any activity
  • you are responsible for monitoring your own well-being during the training
  • you are responsible for having a safe therapeutic place to continue to process what comes up in any training, workshop, intensive, or consultation group that you attend.

Action Institute and its instructors provide educational experiences only, and do not provide therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment through these programs.

If you believe you may benefit from therapeutic or medical support, you should seek guidance from a qualified professional outside of the training.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Action Institute and its instructors, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

  • participation in trainings, workshops, or consultation groups
  • reliance on educational materials provided
  • Illness contracted as a result of attending a training or workshop (eg, Covid-19)

Participation in any program is undertaken at your own discretion and risk.
