Building Emotional Intimacy With Couples Using Action
A Workshop Sponsored by the North County San Diego Chapter of the
California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
Romantic love can lead to our greatest joy and our deepest despair, and often the same defenses we developed to cope and survive in the past can get in our way in our most intimate relationship. In this didactic and experiential presentation, specific action-based tools will be taught to help couples lower their defenses, and deepen their level of intimacy and vulnerability in order to develop a more fulfilling relationship.
Objective 1: Participants will be able to name 3 different rationale for using sociometry when working with couples
Objective 2: Participants will be educated on the technique of doubling and be able to identify 2 benefits of using it in couples work.
